Fiat Panda 4X4 Tailored Interior
This project is the result, when you blend one of the finest shirt making companies in the world with our passion for building your vision of a perfect interior. Turnbull & Asser, responsible for shirting royalty, celebrities and presidents approached us, to turn their lovely Fiat Panda 4x4 interior into a fun 2 seater, with space to carry their shirt making essentials while out on the road, using a curated selection of their beautiful fabrics and our creative flair.
After coming up with an initial specification, the old interior was removed and the car was sent for a fresh coat of exterior paint in Ferrari Pozi Blu, the decision was made to leave the interior surfaces in the cars original green colour to add to the overall look.
Next task was to create the flat rear floor with luggage compartments, the area was finished off with some E-Type inspired luggage rails to keep the new area useable.
One of the challenges we faced was using the shirting fabric, it’s much thinner than the cloths and materials traditionally used for automotive upholstery, we had to get creative with ways of bonding the fabrics down where required, without getting bleed through of our glues, the headlining panel was especially tricky due to the pattern, it took a few team members and a lot of patience to carefully line up the striped material as once glued on, it was stuck for good!
For the seats, a blue corduroy fabric was chosen, with the cords going horizontally, a Turnbull & Asser signature design, complimented with a red piping and shirt fabric on the sides and back.
Once completed the car was collected and driven to Turnbull & Asser’s Jermyn St store as part of a great article by Classic Driver. We really enjoyed this unique and slightly different project for us, below please see a gallery of finished images and a video we shot highlighting the process.
