Ferrari 250 GT TDF 0683GT

This stunning 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France “14 Louvre” was recently entrusted to us, to carry out the research required, followed by the installation of a new headlining and carpet set.

After extensive research and studying old photographs of the car, alongside original pieces from our archive, we identified the correct material type and colour for the headlining, this was patterned, stitched and installed along with reshaping and installing the aluminium trims that surround the windows.

Next up, we patterned, cut, bound and fitted a new carpet set, using the correct pile and quality of carpet, again matched to samples of original 250 TDF carpet form our archive, the archive sample also enabled us to use the correct style and finish of binding and rubber matting. A leather gear gator was stitched into the new tunnel carpet, with a cotton thread to keep it tight, as original.

The last task we carried out was to install the black vinyl diamond quilted panels to the front bulkhead and front 1/4 panels, a commonly found feature on the 250 series cars. Once again we used the archive to match up the original style of vinyl, which is available in our shop.
