2020 UK Concours Roundup

Despite everything that happened in 2020, a small number of UK Concours events managed to take place. They may have felt a little different from previous years, but the organisers and owners put on some incredible shows.

To kick things off, we ventured to The Honorable Artillery Company for the London Concours, a fantastic event in the heart of the city. Three of our previous projects were on display, Mototechnique’s V8 Dino, Thornley Kelham’s Aston Martin DB4 and Sarah and Nigel Allen’s Ferrari 330 GTS, which took not only a class win, but also Best In Show.

Fast forward a few weeks and Hampton Court provided the stunning backdrop to the Concours Of Elegance. This event saw the post restoration debut of a Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione Clienti that we had the pleasure of trimming and restoring its interior. The car was well received, so much so it took a class win! Keep an eye out on our project page in the coming weeks for more pictures of the 275.

Our final event of the year took us to Blenheim Palace for Salon Privé. As ever there was a fantastic mix of cars on display. Including the Ferrari 212 Export Vignale Barchetta, which took the best interior prize. We recently completed a sympathetic restoration on this remarkably original interior. The owner wanted to preserve the cars original interior, a challenge we really enjoyed as it made a change from our usual projects. Another Ferrari 212 we trimmed a number of years ago was also on display, it was great to see the interior still looking incredible after a number of years and many miles of road and race campaigning.

We are looking forward to attending more events next year and hope to see you all out and about enjoying your cars.
